Dogs Policy

Public Access

Members of the public are advised that crossing the golf course comes with the risk of being injured by golf balls and is not recommended. There is excellent access to the beach via the road along the east side of the course. If you must cross the course for any reason please be aware that all dogs must be on a lead and kept away from the greens and tees. All dog waste must be collected and removed from the course. Please do not dispose of dog waste in the bins on the course. The golf course is not open for public dog walking, only for necessary access. Members of the public who disregard these conditions will be asked to leave the property.

Members of WGC

As de facto leaseholders of the property, members may take their dogs onto the course. The same rules apply: Dog on lead, all dog waste removed from the course and keep dogs away from the greens and tees. If you observe any member disregarding these conditions, please do not confront the member directly: contact the Secretary and the Management Committee will consider what action should be taken. Dogs may accompany players in general play and practice as long as they are on a lead at all times and kept away from greens and tees. Dogs must not accompany golfers during competitions.

Members are encouraged to write to the Secretary if they feel there should be any change to this policy.
